Our story

Flour Atelier was started with a dream to create items that make people happy through sight and taste. Evelyn Itsumi Carroll, the owner, grew up in Okinawa and always loved the feeling she got seeing the joy on people’s faces from the baked goods and flower arrangements she created.

Evelyn’s love for unique flavor combinations using Asian flavors from her childhood while making the items look beautiful using real flowers is what makes Flour Atelier what it is today. Flour Atelier is a space for everyone to feel joy when they arrive and see pastries, flower arrangements, and drinks.

‍ ‍

Driven by Creativity and Community

Flour Atelier was so named because it is a space to create art first and foremost. Evelyn’s belief is that by seeing the beautiful designs on the pastries will feed your soul as well as your hunger. This need to create beautiful designs also is displayed through the flower arrangements that will brighten anyone’s event, holiday, or sweet gesture.

Evelyn also believes that a successful business is one that lifts and learns from those in the community and strives to collaborate with other food artists through monthly features and pop ups at the shop.

Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean
